In August, I adapted this lesson to the 8th graders and it was a huge success! This time around with a few differences, 3rd grade students created amazing portraits filled with incredible designs. I LOVE design and the kids loved this project. After introducing Chuck Close and his artwork, we discuss his unique process of creating art. The kids are always fascinated by his style.
