Dry Brush Painting- Andy Warhol Study, 5th Grade

After discussing Andy Warhol's influence on Pop Art, 5th grade students created self-portraits using correct proportions and realistic features.  Something about the artist had to be included in the painting to show their personality.  \The dry brush paitning technique was used to create a colorful, layering effect.  This process also shows students how to achieve amazing results through a different and new technique.  The colors are so bright but the realistic features really stand out!
