Winter Landscapes- 5th Grade

5th grade students studied the 3 parts of a landscape; foreground, mid-ground, and background.  They sketched their design on large paper and then painted their winter scene.  Some students went more abstract than realistic using bright colors!  Every student was successful!  We added details and finishing touches with oil pastels.  The students are so proud of their work.  These will look great hanging in their homes this time of year!
