Whimsical Neighborhoods- 4th grade

After discussing Folk Art, students created colorful neighborhoods!  At first they painted with very little detail.  The colors are abstract to create a whimsical look.  Students then added details using black and white to make the artwork look finished and stand out. The neighborhoods look very happy and fun!  Some students think it even looks like a "Dr. Seuss" town.  Our hallways look awesome with the colorful artwork hanging everywhere.
