4th grade students created a relief print using cardboard and foam. A relief print is a printmaking technique in which the protruding surface of the cardboard is inked. To make the print finished, we used foil and ink to looked like an aged piece of metal. Their designs were symmetrical and balanced on each side of their rectangle. This is a fun process for the kids and they are amazed that the simple materials can look just like metal!
