Teen Still-Life Painting- 7th and 8th grade

The 7th and 8th grade students have each created a unique setting for their still-paintings.  Creating depth has been the biggest challenge here, but we are getting there!  They like to draw small with a lot of detail which makes it a little more difficult to paint.  Creating shadows and highlights is a new concept to them and they are really catching on! The 8th graders thought about things they have at home that could be used in a still-life.  I like that option, however next time I will be setting up a still-life in the classroom.  They are enjoying this project and I am very happy with the results so far.
